As I've stated elsewhere, I have two ideas for packaging; a plasticised foil wrapper which I would then heat seal, or an old fashioned foil and paper wrapper. My decision of which to go with depends on whether I am able to sublimate onto the plastic coated foil which I have obtained.
I decided to do a quick test, printing an image which I had downloaded onto the foil to test the process, the results can be seen below:

As can be seen in the photograph, the image has sublimated very well, I just need to be aware that any white areas will show as silver when I design my wrapper.
The only issue I had is that the reverse of the foil stuck to the paper and I will need to resolve this issue. I am going to experiment with a non-stick sheet on the reverse of the foil. It does however convince me that I will be able to heat seal the wrapper.
I have sketched my design for the wrapper which is a spoof of the 'popular bubbly chocolate bar' shown above. I have included the web address for my blog as well as a QR code linked to it:

I then went on to create a digital version ready for printing. I am beginning to get to grips with Photoshop and Corel Draw and I'm getting a feel for how I can use the two together to create the images I want. I created the following images first in Corel;

I then used Photoshop to create my final design ready for sublimation:

I have successfully sublimated two copies of my wrapper design onto foil ready for creating my wrapper:

I have also used the sublimation heat press to seal my wrappers ready for the usb stick:
